Kujichagulia Youth Showcase
A collaboration between the Delta Nu Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Renaissance Academy Charter School of the Arts.
We are so excited to share the finished product of a collaboration between the Delta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and our school. Every year our 4th grade students research musicians of the Harlem Renaissance during music integration. THIS year, with the support of the local chapter of AKA, a select group of students had the opportunity to create artistic performances inspired by the musicians that they researched. These students exemplify the Kwanzaa principle of Kujichagulia, or self-determination. Please enjoy the Kujichagulia Youth Showcase!
