Dear RA Families, As you may already know the Center for Disease Control has decreased the number of feet between students from 6 feet to 3 feet. Renaissance Academy’s Reopening Committee met to review the new guidance, survey families and staff, and make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees to determine if any changes need to be made to our current program configuration. After reviewing all of the information and discussing options the Reopening Committee recommended to the Board of Trustees to maintain our current configuration for the remainder of this school year. Looking forward to the Next School Year The Board of Trustees and the school leadership team is planning for a 2021-2022 school year that will be 5 days a week for all students. The reopening committee will continue to meet to ensure all guidance from the New York State Department of Education, New York State Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control. As it gets closer to the start of the 2021-2022 school year more information will be shared. The calendar for the 2021-2022 school year is attached to this letter for your information and review.
